Yeah I watched it

Unboxing the goodies

Katawi has been wanting to upgrade her setup for as long as I’ve known her and recently, she was able to do so. We’ve both heard some good things about Apples reconditioned gear so she thought, “why not give it a try.” I think her expression says it all.

Here are some shots from the unboxing of her new gear. Oh BTW, these shots were all made possible by utilizing borrowed gear from “the professor”. On the 30D was Canon’s 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM lens with a Canon 580 Ex speedlite attached. All lights shot in these photos were bounced off of white ceilings in the apt. Those geek sessions are really starting to pay off and Fenstermacher has all the tools, knowledge, and the talent to help elevate, even the most rudimentary skills like mine.

AT&T WiFi portal for iPhone users shows up at Starbucks

The Unofficial Apple Weblog wrote:

According to David, AT&T is giving WiFi users 2 free hours of access per day. But AT&T didn’t stop there — they designed an iPhone-specific portal to sign onto the service. A local Starbucks manager told David that all 7,000+ Starbucks stores in the US should be “finished by summer.”

Aperture 2

experimenting w/ Aperture, originally uploaded by farrisbulen.

We all know the famed computer company, Apple, and what type of beautifully (spoiler alert) branded products they create.

Yesterday’s linkfest spoke briefly about one Apple product, Final Cut Pro, and how an Oscar winning film, ‘No Country For Old Men’ was edited and choreographed off of that software. Since we all know how much I love Apple products I figured I would give their top notch photography editing software a whirl.

At first glance the software is like Adobe’s camera raw editing program, but on steroids. With so many different user options and ways to personalize the workflow, I feel like I’m 8 again and sitting in Mrs. Vaultman’s homeroom waiting for the math quiz. I do like the softwares white balance, exposure, and vignette editing tools. The sepia editor is plush as well.

See more images from the experimentation here.
